Day 1 & 2 (21st and 2nd October)

After the previous evening's exciting opening ceremony with overflow crowds, the first day of the first ever International Islamic Police Women's Conference started with prayers sung by female qari Fatima.


Day 3 (23rd October)
The conference opened with welcoming remarks by co-chairs Lt. Homaira of the Police Academy and MP Shinkai Karukhail.   The theme of the day was “Police Women’s Security Roles in Islamic Society.


Day 4 (24th October)
The theme for Day 4 was “Response of Police Women to Violence in Islamic Society.” Deputy Minister Mazari Safa, of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, was the keynote speaker.


Day 5 (25th October)
The final day of the conference started with an open discussion facilitated by Najia Zewari of UNIFEM. The discussion was on police women’s responses to violence against women and what police women need to respond to such events.
